I'm really looking forward to buying this game but i'm going to wait til the up and coming release.
Can anyone say what percent it is currently at?

I played a copy of the 2.1 version on someone's computer awhile back and really liked it, i've kept an eye on the site for to see has there been any progress every now and again, it's a shame i didn't find out about the pledges til after the donations were met.

Will the next installment be ready before Christmas or after, understandable if no ETA can be said but it'd be nice to know when to dust off the old wallet.

Well they have been working at a good pace and progressing fairly quick. He said "this year" and judging by the speed they're working I'd guess before Christmas. Maybe the end of this month or early december. (pure speculation)

Not sure if you'll be able to download V3 this year if you haven't made a donation or pledge...

First we will release the version under the pledgers and donators.
Somewhat later we will release the version on the website where people can buy or upgrade from 2.1 to 3.0.
Development progress still at 89%.

You can still make a donation here. Click on "Make a donation/plegde using credit card".

I for one want a solid date. I was one of many who "invested" money into this, I have given XMP money in advance for a development of a product and I want to know how it goes, which i what I hate with allot of crowd funding, no real solid information. We who paid money are being kept in the dark.

And don't take my rant as a complaint towards XMP, its not. If I get a date to next Year I wont complain and will probably understand why too, but I would demand allot more information of progress and status.

So my questions still stands... What exactly is left to be done? What road bumps remains? Do we have a solid date? Or even a ~ish date?

Solid dates are impossible, unless you purposely far overshoot your expected date of completion due to the high (if not given) chance that there will be a major bug that is difficult to solve.

xpadmin has stated that 3.0 will be released this year though.

A date could have been given long ago, there is this new crazy invention called a "delay".

@tomten & others

I understand that insight in what we are doing is needed, especially for donators/pledgers.
I have tried to do that as much as possible but it cannot hurt to add some extra info.

The tentacle story itself is finished.
We are currently working on the dungeon "fast sex" scene.

The tentacle story is very nice, but it does not allow to show all the new possibilities that we have added to the engine.
In the story the girls need to stay at a certain place for example in order for the story to work.
So not all interaction you would like is possible without hurting the story itself.

The dungeon scene however will give you a lot of freedom to interact with the girl in a closed environment.
We were not planning to build the dungeon scene at first. But because a lot of features like the combining motion capture and physics can be shown best here we felt we needed to this as well.

The dungeon scene will also be more of a template for modding since you can more easily add new features to it, or derive new "fast sex" scenes from it.
You can choose what kind of mood the girl is in (she is happy to be in the dungeon, eager, not happy etc).
It has an SM undertone (so it may not be everyone's cup of tea). But it is actually pretty fun to play even if you do not like SM.

Like a lot of things we have added, we were not planning to add them in first instance.
Its more like: "Hey someone on the forum says it would be nice if the girls could pee themselves". We think, yes that would be a nice extra feature, and one day later they can.
That is also why it has proven to be very difficult to place an exact date on the release. We know we are getting really close, but then suddenly a bug or issue arises that we need to address and takes more time. But rest assure, version 3.0 will be definitely be released this year (for pledgers and donators).

Hope this clarifies things somewhat.

Nice to see and here a about some little new Features.
This looks very interesting.
I will have my Fun there >:D

Like i said here its not easy to create a game.
And as Developer i know that you can often unforseen Problems.
Then you need Time to fix them or make big changes to make a solution.

So its not easy to say when you have finished the product.
Its not like building a car or baking bread.
Creating Software and very complex software like games is a big process that is not done in one night.
So its not easy to say when you finished it.
