I'm just wondering, beyond 2.2 how long will existing customers continue to be supported with the framework updates?
From the Offbeatr scaling I get the impression that the framework support may stop when version 3.0 is reached, unless one buys the new story that goes with it (and then the same again with future versions). Is that actually the plan? Also, have you folks figured out a pricing system for the later stages of updates for those of us who don't back the project on Offbeatr?
I'm asking because I won't be backing it that way. I'm having some health issues that make speculative investments into 2014 and 2015 a bit unwise, but as long as I'm still around I'll no doubt be dropping cash on the new releases... So I'm rather curious how that will balance out.
[edit] And those videos reminded me of a comment: That side-camera is really offputting and I can't even imagine how terrifying it must be with an Oculus Rift on, it'd feel like you're falling sideways. Could you add an option to keep that camera on the horizontal plane?

Early adopters, will not be forgotten.
People that already bought the game, will get version 2.2 without extra costs. Version 3.0 will be available to them for a small extra fee (if we reprice XStoryPlayer).
We do not know the pricing structure exactly because it depends on the success of offbeatr and on how many features we put in the next version(s). We need an income to keep on developing, but we will always keep the price fair and balanced.
Pledging is of course very much appreciated, because it would allow us to spend more resources on future development.
edit: The side cam view is not really a problem with the oculus. It does feel ok. But we could change it if more people thinks its better to view horizontally.

I also find the sideways view off-putting. It's the same with me for ordinary porn - if the camera's on its side, I have to do too much mental work to interpret the action. That takes me out of it to the point of genuine annoyance.
Still ... I like the horizontal camera because it lets me see the action. But does it have to rotate the action? I get that the player might be kind of leaning over to see what's going on ... but if you can lean over that far while fucking a girl's mouth you'd be a very accomplished contortionist. Really for my money it doesn't help realism or convenience to do the rotation like this. Please give us a side-on view that's vertically oriented.
Apart from that though - wow, these movies indicate some big steps forward. I feel a little concerned that the girl's motion seems a bit repetitive, but I imagine you'll add variations over time once you've got the basics down.
Nice.

Well it will be a long long time before we get there (a normal job pays much better, trust me). But we will never exploit people their adult fantasies, by charging large amounts for a game.
