They work, but hands are reversed in game. Feels very strange!

On another note i cannot get my character to stand flat on the ground. I am either bending my knees or floating inches above the floor. Any way to fix this?

I have run setup again via Oculus and SteamVR with no change.

You obviously aren´t using the latest version.
The Oculus Touch works now as the hands are NOT reversed anymore.
You have to go into the Account Manager, delete the HTC patch and re-download the HTC patch.

Excellent, thank you. Reinstall fixed the issue. Just need to find the solution for floating above ground.

Is there a way to stop mirroring the game to the monitor?

The height should automatically be adjusted.

You can also use the height settings in the vr settings menu to adjust height.

Any reason why you would not want the mirroring to the monitor?

When you play with VR goggles on, you have no idea who might walk in and see what you are playing on the monitor. Not ideal when you have children.

Mirroring works but flashes alternate fast black and red screen while enabled.
