One last thing, what's stereoscopic mode for? It seems to not change anything

If you have an NVidia card, you can put that in stereoscopic mode. You then can use shutter glasses or the old cyan-red glasses to view your screen in 3d. (The cyan-red glasses look actually still pretty good)
The stereoscopic mode is needed in XStoryPlayer because this mode requires the textures to be power 2 size.

Oh ok so just red/blue thing (too bad I've an ATI card) Anyway for everyone wanting to use something else than the oculus rift try https://www.tridef.com/cart/product.php?productid=3 with http://trinusvr.com/. It would be nice to have a vireio ( http://www.mtbs3d.com/new-vireio-site) profile that hooks in directx to make a better stereoscopic view or a native stereoscopic mode that just puts the 2 screens side by side

For laptop intel videocards I used iz3d driver. It acts like the 3dVision from NVidia. I think it is an alternative for ATI cards too. It seems they closed but they still offer the anaglyph drivers. http://iz3d.com/select_download

I'll give it a try with the side by side trial, that would be great!
But the stereoscopic mode is kinda a fake3d? Or it's fully integrated to the engine?
