Reminds me of The Matrix when time's stopped or slowed down. I can see some artifacts on some of the model renders though, but they can probably be cleaned up.

Yes, in video description it is said that only the last model was cleaned up. Thinking about it, it would be amazing to have VR erotic museum- you'd walk around this realistic "sculptures" and holograms. It could be realy great exeprience.

That's pretty much what that guy has created, a museum of beauty. If he gets more exotic models with various body types and sizes. I think he could really have a killer product. Although I am not sure that is his plan. Something like this could compete with the PVC figures market, it would save me some money getting the figures digitally.

@Gregs
Interesting development. This game 'Wicked Paradise' seems to be based on the Oculus Rift.
We played around with the Oculus Rift and its possibilities are indeed great (The resolution is however somewhat low)
Let us know what your experiences are with the Oculus Rift!

Very interesting! Very interesting indeed! Body scanning and full body motion capture, oh my! That must be very fun for the developers to do, scheduling motion capture sessions like that XD Can you imagine the x-moon team doing that? "Um, Samantha, sorry, we're, uh...we're going to have to put you in the chains again" "What? But my ass is sore!" "Sorry! Just this one last time. We gotta get the spanking motion capture right!" bahahaha!

Full body scan and motion capture would allow for a lot of detail.
It sounds very interesting. Could not find much more info on the ''Wicked Paradise' project except for their website which contains mostly text.
They have gotten a lot of attention in the media. If only we had said we where going to use the Oculus Rift in XStoryPlayer darn!
No but seriously, it is a very interesting concept. If they can pull it off: full body scan, motion capture, stories, the works, it will be a really cool project.
The Oculus Rift market is not (yet) very big. But if it will grow, 3d interactive porn could become an completely new market for porn stars.

@xpadmin Sadly I'm still waiting for my Rift to arrive (should be soon now). Will post my consumer-perspective impressions here when I'll get it. Have you been able to make XStoryPlayer work with the Rift? I'd imagine it would be perfect to play in VR. Btw, they presented HD (consumer?) version of Oculus Rift on E3 and it seems it's a huge improvement over dev kit: http://www.engadget.com/2013/06/11/ocul ... set-hands/

We have partially integrated the rift into XStoryPlayer (only view). The resolution/image quality however is somewhat disappointing.
I think however the HD version could really be a winner. If the HD will become affordable to the public it could change the whole concept of gaming.
I am somewhat worried about the direction they are taking. They started as a kickstarter project and I hope they will have an SDK for the public too with the HD version. If we however would have to pay 10.000 dollars for an SDK that could be a problem.
So I hope smaller companies also have ways to integrate this HD version as well.

IIRC there have been other attempts to get people to use 3D goggles for playing games. They didn't work for different reasons.. So even when able to HD I guess a headset will be used by only about 5% of Your possible customers. Wouldn't it be better to use Your tight resources on stuff for soemthing the other 95% can enjoy, too? When Your game is finished, than you can think about adding an optional oculus rift support. Someone who pays $ 300.- for a headset sure can pay another $ 10.- for a DLC option to use it with your game.
