Their engine is like a float starting at 0 and ending at 1 and not like a Boolean, Engine = true or Engine = false

 this did make me chuckle.

I've still got faith that xpadmin's working on the new engine. I reached out to him back in June to discuss some design projects and he reassured me he's not dead, which is good. He also said he'll let everyone know an ETA when he can give a good estimate.

I realize it's not much to go on, but it's something. Hang in there everyone!

Dear participants and participants. How do you think how much time should pass that a new version should see the light?

It's the age old question isn't it - "how long is a piece of string?". From what I can gather, the X Moon team is just one guy. I imagine he has a job and/or career and a home life, and this project is a labor of love rather than a money making enterprise. So as much as I'd like to think that we'll hear from him soon, we have to bear in mind that he's working on this thing completely on his own.

Granted; there are independent teams out there, consisting of 1-5 people, who are equipped to give out regular updates to their followers, but X Moon Productions just isn't at that stage yet. We also have to bear in mind that this is a porn game, and the industry on-a-whole just doesn't appreciate them.

Personally, I don't think xpadmin wants to attract too much attention to this whole thing, as it will open him up to a slew of pitfalls, damages, not to mention potential legal ramifications. All we can do is wait. I know it's felt like a lifetime since he posted any news but - believe me - when he posts, it's going to be worth it.

If anything, we have to respect him for whipping up such a hypestorm ;)

I see a lot of speculation on this forum as to how this company works.
The quote below explains it all.

The sales of XStoryPlayer are enough for an average salary and paying the bills (feel free to derive the sales from this ;) ).
N.b.: I am not saying this to generate any sympathy, it is simply how things are.

Is Honey Select the only good game to play while we wait a couple of years for XSP?

Game looks nice, thanks for telling! Do you know where I can buy my copy?
Google is leading me to some scam sites

I have been playing it for the past month or so. You will enjoy the customization. It is much better with a few simple mods installed. But like the other response said, it is a bit more difficult to download than other games. You can find some torrents that include the game, some updates, and the translation patch all together. It does get a little bit repetitive, unlike XSP.

What sorts of legal ramifications could he possibly get into? The game asks you if you're 18, and it's entirely his creation. Unless he's using copyrighted music for when you turn the TV on in the start of the one 2.0 story (which I doubt he would risk doing that), or somebody actually manages to sue him on the whole "likeness" BS (I don't believe the game states "any likeness to anyone in reality is pure coincidence" in the game come to think of it) I don't see where the legal trouble would happen.
