I received my Oculus Rift a few days ago and here is my honest review: this will gonna be HUGE!
Yes, right now resolution is a bit low (though, not terrible) and screendoor is quite visible... but once you start to look around and move in life-sized 3d VR environment you forget all bout it. It's that good!
On the topic of adult entertainment. I only tried a few (non-nude) demos with characters, but the impact is amazing! Something that looks like a low-poly character on monitor, magically transform in a solid life-sized person in life-like 3d.
Love it and I think adult industry will grab VR with both hands!

As the porn industry goes so does the rest of the tech world? XD

I tried a few more early demos from developers community (dancing club, etc.) and I must say I'm a believer. It was the first time I was really aroused by a 3d character. Funny thing is, when I was looking at the characters on monitor, they were more awkward than sexy (some wooden animations, not very detailed modeling, etc.)... but once in a rift, the game changes completely. Getting really close to a girl gives you similar sensations as being close to a real person. Very intimate experience. I can just imagine what the feeling will be like, once a game with good models and animations will be ported to rift.
Interesting thing is, watching 3d models and walking around them feels better than watching non-interactive porn movies.
Quite amazing.

As has been said before here and elsewhere...Oculus Rift now with Kinect? XD now that'd be something! And would be really awkward if ever anyone you DON'T want walking in you walking in on you. XD

Thankfully my girlfriend is quite open minded and was actually enjoying girl demos with the rift herself

Btw, more than Kinect I'd like to see some kind of haptic gloves, so you can actually "feel" it. Though "no touch, just look" rule can be quite arousing on itself

Ok, this is just mindblowing.
Infinite-Realities just published a new Oculus Rift demo with more models and interactions. You can change the background (and lightning) and you can even rotate characters or backgrounds.
If you have Hydra you can now use it for positional tracking and hand control. That's where things get crazy. Being surrounded with so detailed models and being able to lean or crouch and look up close is so realistic, you actually ARE in VR!
Demos like this really show where we are heading and if this is just the beginning I can't imagine where we'll be in 10 years.
