The "shift" key doesn't make my player run in version 2 or 3.5. I changed the keyboard setting in "Settings" and I have tired two different keyboard blue tooth and directly wired, neither work. I have tired just hitting the shift key and holding the left mouse button and holding the shift key down and the left mouse button. What I am I doing wrong.

There's an option in the game that reduces your movement speed when looking down. That may be what you're seeing. Disable that option to see if it helps.
