 What is the record icon in certain camera views?

Post What is the record icon in certain camera views?
Looks like a white video camera icon in the lower right corner of the alternate BJ cameras....is it a record icon? How do you use it?

It is only an indicator that you are in alternative camera mode.
It has no further usage than that.
