Post subject:  Disappearing mid air fulids?

I finally got that new computer! Did you guys know that women in XSP jiggled in real time? Because I didn't.

Well anyway, on this new computer, the game will stop rendering mid air fluids after the second time the button is pressed. Meaning I only get one visible stream of mid air fluid per key per scene. I"m at a loss for why this is happening. I know the fluids are still being ejected from the player's body because pressing the buttons still results in a stain appearing.

Here are my new specs.

Under windows 8 and some graphics cards this happens.

Please run XSP in windows 7 compatibility mode to solve this.

your graphics card is really poor, to put in perspective it is equal to the top cards about 8-9 years ago, performance wise. But it should just be able to pull off this game, so have you updated your nvidia drivers?

just curious (I don't have this issue)

if you edit start.ini and set on opengl do you encounter the same issue?

rendermode = OPENGL; // Can be 'OPENGL' or 'DIRECTX'

Just a quick word, I am still operating "out-of-box" and haven't done anything in terms of optimizing my new machine. The graphics card came with the new machine by default, but said machine has out-classed my old one in every department so far.

Let me throw up the stats to that old computer again.

I am looking at newer cards though, but haven't had the time to do so seriously.

i see that is indeed a huge upgrade. For a new card you can look here for price - performance value: "http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu_value.html"

The gtx 960 and gtx 760 are good pretty good, with the gtx 960 your card will be able to run directX 12 which will soon be out.

Nvidia GTX 960, 970 or AMD new R9 380 or 390 and remember you probably need to change out the powersupply.

be carefull of seller arguments.
The gtx 960 is given for approximatively 120W, any modern cpu with NO low power cosumption is about 70-90W .
a hard drive is a joke -> about 10W..
let's be crazy and say the whole motherbord consume 50W
we have total of approximatively 250-260W ..

with a supra shit 400W 60% power supply, indeed it's dangerous.. with a 80% which is a standard now, it's enough.
so think to change your power supply if you're not sure or under 400W.

hmm this reminds me: I bought a NVidia videocard that crashed a couple of days after. Then received a replacement: one with no fans on it. No extra power cable as the previous one. It worked for years and I still use it. GT440.

Fans need power and they need regular cleaning. Dinamic fan speed was the reason my old one crashed I think. The speed wasn't changing while playing games with stressing requirements.

Now for a power supply I always recommend one over 500W. And one or 2 HDDs, not more. (I use SSD now and I don't really care on my system)
