I have an HP Windows 8 Laptop. Specs below..

Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-3120M CPU @ 2.50GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.5GHz Memory: 4096MB RAM

I only seem to be getting 1-10 FPS when I play 3.0. It's not playable at all. I turned down the graphic settings to low, and even tried playing in windowed mode, but it's not helping at all. I don't have the money right now to purchase a better PC, so this is all I got for now. Is there anything I can do to increase the FPS more?

Those specs look better than mine, but I noticed that you're not mentioning a graphics device.

A good CPU is one thing, but without good graphics card to work along side it, it's doing a lot on its own, and in an inefficient matter to boot. The best thing you can do, is turn off any other programs running that you need left one when running XSP, and to tell XSP to run in a smaller window.

Xpadmin, have you noticed which cards work with XSP most favorably?

Sorry. Uh, the graphics card in my laptop is a Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000. Standard crappy card. Also, yeah I normally don't run any other programs while playing XSP. Doesn't seem to help unfortunately.

Hm... I don't know how to shop for laptop graphic cards.

If anyone has experience with this, I ask that you chime in, and help xhayatox to find the best card he could put in his system.

1-10fps?... did you install the patch? you may have the issue with ram some people have. Your specs don't seem that horrible to me. Try plying the 2.1 demo and see if that plays the same.

download it here http://www.xmoonproductions.com/download/

If it plays much much better. then submit your trace file here http://www.xmoonproductions.com/support/

unless you have a 2nd monitor and can open your taskmanager and watch the ram usage in the Performance tab as you play. then just see if its filling your entire ram. The patch was to fix that, and it worked for most people. but a few people have reported their computers still have the problem after the patch. Good luck man, hope it all works out.

He can't those are integrated graphics. its literally a chip soldered to the motherboard. But its not so bad that it should be pushing 1-10fps. it meets the minimum specs. it has dedicated memory but utilizes some of the computer's system memory as needed. up to 1.7gigs for that card without messing with it. which considering 512 is minimum required for this game, he should be ok.

here are the specs for that card Image so he should be able to run low settings without dropping that low.

My only real suggestion would be to turn your monitor resolution down and try it that way. Might be less stressful on your system.

For low performance:

Setting the quality in display settings to lower setting can also help.

Yeah man, i used have an Nvidia 480gts and a dual core e8400@3.0ghz with 4gigs of shit ddr2 800 ram. that rig was an outdated unkillable monster, never had any performance problems with any game or program. I'm now using a quad core A-8 3520m with Radeon HD 6620G graphics and 8gigs ddr3 @1333mhz and a cooling pad to keep it from melting when I'm using Photoshop. ATI CCC is garbage, especially on laptops. most of the system is stable, I built it from many dead laptops and took every precaution even modified the case to allow more airflow. its just lacks the processing power you'd expect from lenovo. Next time i stick with an intel/nvidia rig. this is just redickk.
