I have confirmed that on my system that XStoryplayer.exe turns Wave Volume control all the way down during loading screens. It's turns Wave back up after loading is finished, but on the prerequisite the game doesn't crash in the process.
Also, if I shut the game off using alt+F4, it will sometimes leave wave volume control all the way down, forcing me to turn it back up manually.
Does this also happen in the full version of the game, and in other versions of Windows? I use XP SP3.

This only happens under windows xp
We use the directsound sdk and I suspect the windows xp version of it has this bug
If anyone also has this problem under vista or w7 , w8 please let us know!
