As we get more scenes, poses, and models I hope we may be able to get a story writer add-on. It would be awesome to choose the characters, the outfits, the scenes and write the story and dialogue. Where players can write their own stories just for themselves or to share with other XStory users. Hope this is a possibility.

This indeed would be great. Maybe in the future we will open the software to make this possible. But it would require a lot of work for the creator. Its not only scripting, the characters (and scenes) have a lot of detail. So for new characters and scenes to be added would mean a lot of 3d modelling.
If more people are interested in this let us know. Maybe we could start by opening smaller features like editing textures and some scripting.

Anything we might be able to mod to improve the graphics, like high-resolution textures, would be appreciated. I know you have to cater to the largest possible pool of users, but not all of our computers are dinosaurs.

I like to see a story writer add-on, too. This is a greate Idea! Because imho the big difference to other games in this market is the story telling / RP thing. The physics are realy nice but the story/RP element is what it makes so outstanding for me. May as a start it is more realisitc to provide a editor to create storys only using existing models and locations...

Yeah to clarify what I'm looking for is an ability to write our own stories and dialogue. Not to create/import sets or models (though I'm sure other people might be interested in that feature as well). But as more models and locations are released a story creator would only become more powerful.

This would be awesome. The more possibilities for free play the better. Keep up the great work.

I would love for an editor / creator feature, and would pay extra for it. The basic engine has such wonderful possibilities, thanks to the scripting and text parser. You could create some wonderful games with actual storyline and dialogue, something similar to Adult Interactive Fiction (AIF) but with realtime visuals.
Seriously, if you guys turned this into an engine that people could use to make really good interactive stories...you will have a customer for life!

It is indispensable to implement a editor or creation features and also a lively forum, because a project like that can survive for many years with this.

ANYTHING to make modding and community involvement possible is a good idea. It gives a game so much more depth and opens up possibilities for niche fetishes and wishes. It also adds features and helps the developers a lot in their work.
It may be a little far-fetched but bethesda games, for example, have profitted a lot from easily accessible modding. And skyrim or oblivion has become the, potentially, best sex game out today. Even though wasn't meant to be one.
So just imagine the possibilities with such a good engine and easily accessible modding and an active community. This game would definetly dominate the market for a very, very long time.

I have to say modding is one of the best ways to get more people to buy the game. People mod for the illusion games all the time , and they love it. The other thing is people even buy games ONLY because of the mods and make the main game very very sucessfull : for example Dayz
