If you don't put thought into your responses, and dont bother using reading comprehension, I have a right to be upset with you about that. Try harder to contribute to the topic, which would be more respectable, and I would be more willing to return the favor. If you dont read, and throw together confident responses based on the half-assed conclusions you've drawn, you are bound to agitate people. You dont have to agree with me. I just need to know that you're at least trying.

That is the start and end of it. You're not going to get anything you wouldn't get out of every other game in this department.
This game is very technically impressive. The focus should remain on expanding the gameplay. If you want games with writing worth focusing on, play a VN. Spending money on something like this is just going to force us to wait longer for something that, again, won't be impressive.
Being succinct isn't half-assing.

Being succinct isn't half-assing. Once again... I will say.. I've never said to make this top priority. Once again... your statement is, indeed, half-assed. I will make myself crystal clear... This is something that needs to be improved. Period. Tomorrow, or next year...as it is immersion-breaking... I can't break it down any simpler than that, friend.

I feel I should make a greater effort to prevent any further misunderstandings...
This isn't a question of what the "focus" should be on, or what the priority should be.... This is the exposure of a major issue (assuming their development team isnt already aware of the problem) The original post was made to express the necessity of quality dialogue, if it is to be implemented at all... It was NOT meant to suggest that anyone goes out and consults individuals.
I was "extremely" clear about all this man... And this why I keep saying your responses are half-assed, because all you had to do was take your time and read, and we wouldnt even be having an unproductive discussion on this topic.
That's the best I can do to explain what I meant. If you repeat silly things, I'm just going to ignore it. Starting to feel like im being trolled lol.

The chat system in 2.1 is little more than a command line interface for switching scenes, a way to give you story text, and getting a crude response. The game is in beta it just isn't labeled as such, IMHO. I think they will eventually incorporate something similar to an ALICE type or other chat bot system. I have faith that they'll work it out though.

I would be happy with more traditional "select one line from these options" type deal.. Perhaps add that as an alternative one can toggle on from options?

^ I'd be happy with that as well, it'd be a great help for the online dating section of Wet Dreams.

I don't mind the selectable dialogues, they allow for a smoother experience. Especially considering the amount of trouble a lot of people had getting to move forward because of what the game required you to type in.
However, the current system makes the game unique. It's definitely harder to work with, but allows a lot of freedom. And as I stated earlier, when modding opens up, this system will be very fun and (should be) easy to share your edits with the rest of the community.
The devs don't have time to plan out 20+ acceptable keywords to a girl's single question, let alone stick in some fun easter eggs, but some dedicated forum members might!

I think so. Although we need a improved chat, I don't like the idea of dialogue options on this game.
