English is not my native, but I think everyone undertsnd me.
So, my thoughts after I completed the first available version of the new project.
1) Cool! I haven't seen such a cool outer space as here since the release of KSP. The physics of movement in space, the movement of celestial bodies and luminaries - beyond all praise!
2) The hero's movement - everything is the same as in the previous parts. Everything is just as leisurely, but this time it is become more natural.
3) Interaction with the environment - this is what was missing in the previous parts. Now we have full-fledged hands, and they grip and nothing can escape from these hands. Cool!
4) The environment - everything is good. But the only thing is that the textures can be adjusted in places, because they look unfinished. Perhaps this will be corrected in the next versions. At least that's how it looks.
5) The plot is not clear yet, but it is clear that there is a reserve for an extensive network of quests.
6) Of course, the content is for adults, how can I not say this. First of all, I will say - Jenny looks awesome! Very natural, and even though she is a little "green", she looks simply incredible. Plus, you can see the development with... non-rigid bodies? Very impressed. The drawing is also excellent.
In the end, I would like to say - Mr. XP, please do not stop. Now the game looks very impressive, what will happen next - is completely beyond my imagination.
Well, and finally, I think you need to think about releasing it on Steam.
P.S. Jenny is strange - she walks around the VR room and says that she is just walking!

Good question!

All cloth and soft body simulation is now done on GPU. So that frees the CPU for other things.

This means you will need a GeForce RTX 2060 card or higher to reach the 60 fps that this game runs on.
You will need at least 4 GB on card memory.

The CPU needs to be reasonable, Core i7-12700KF or higher. With at least 4 GB of RAM.

So here are the specs:

- GeForce RTX 2060 (or higher), 4 GB on card memory
- Core i7-12700KF, 4 GB RAM (or higher)
- Sound card
- Keyboard, mouse
- AT least 4 GB free space on hard-disk

I use i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60GHz, and 60 fps are stable. Maybe more weak CPU did the same.

My last comment was my assumption that the game was pre release of finished game (1.0) and that erotic content was being scrapped, that was unfair, sorry about that.

Spent the last 8ish hours or so playing through the game and trying to break everything along the way.
Wall o text incoming.

ENGINE###
The new engine looks really good with the lighting and materials and the physics seem really solid.
Spent about 4 hours trying to break into where Jenny(green Saiko) was but couldn't get in and only broke a few things.

Tried jumping at it, using physics assets to shove me into it and save load glitching
One bug that might be an issue is if you jetpack then exit the game while you are falling(or any falling i guess) when you load it can shoot you about 600m away and your characters animation goes into a mad sprint.

I tried to jam doors with objects and a whole manner of things but the engine did very well and nothing broke.

The game did crash when i pressed the elevator button and reset my save, after that i started doing backups of the game folder.
(Save game is the Data folder(pretty sure) but i just copied the entire game folder and renamed it)

Character physics are really good but could use a more user friendly player jump as you can get stuck on so many things, especially if you need to carry heavy items onto the ship.
If that ramp door is not completely flush then you get stuck.

Being able to save in a slot would also be very useful but im unsure if the saving system allows that, or unlock stage checkpoints that can be selected.
Currently if the player gets stuck they have to restart(or crashes that restart your game progress).

SHIP###
Most space games have 12 controls
Actual buttons will vary between games

accelerate, decelerate (scroll wheel)
strafe left,strafe right (A,D)
ascend, descend (space. shift)
roll left,roll right (Q,E)
Pitch up, pitch down (Mouse Y)
Yaw left, yaw right (Mouse X)

Unsure if you can possess the ship so the mouse can be used for pitch and yaw but it would make the ship easier to fly and land.

Most other games also have quite aggressive deceleration forcing the ship to 0 movement while not actively using thrust to prevent the ship from drifting.
Trying to land on that portal platform was aggravating and i chose the slam into it method at the end .

Quicker requested thrust, even if the ship takes while to get up to speed the player requesting that speed should be quicker.
while trying to get into the portal holding page up for so long was hard.
Then again i tried to go through the portal backwards and 300 from 30 and it said not fast enough.
Then i tried the correct way and it was much easier.

While we are on the topic of landing one of the things that makes lading on the tower very hard is you cant see underneath the ship(and the controls)
You could have a 3rd person camera, Still keep first person but add a screen that shows below the ship or cut the bulky front of the ship away and add a more window design that shows a bit below the front to see where your landing.
X4 has some nice fighter cockpits that the front is mostly window so you can see more.

GAMEPLAY###
This is the section where i have way more questions then actual comments.

Will there be combat for either player or ship, how detailed are the environments going to be, can we buy new ships, will there be an economy, whats the plans for the VR place, how will the erotic content work, will the player be able to click on things or just slap with hands. Ill stop there but there's a list.

Quicker ship travel between locations as it takes way to long and potentially even longer because the planets rotate around their axis.
That first fly is 35 mins.

MODDING###
There are no games out there that have the level of mod-ability like XStoryPlayer, i could create just about anything with the only limitations being the engine at the time.
The engine improvements on the old platform and i would be a kid in a candy store... literally if i wanted, sell candy in a store, produce candy in a factory, have candi on a pole.

Will there be modding and in what capacity, am i forced to use planets and ships and all the gameplay questions.

You are a Science officer serving on a military vessel, go between the crew and use the NLP (the talking system) to talk to the rest of the crew
get involved in SHENANIGANS and get deployed on planets to do science stuff.

I need to stop thinking of random story's i could make.

EROTIC###
Does the reduced erotic direction mean that we will only have naked green Saiko that can be fondled or is it going to be less Erotic focused storys with the same mechanics as XStory.
I have always thought that erotic content is the icing on top of the cake and that's what made XStory so great, you could create a great story and throw a naked Saiko ontop (hahaha get it because cowgirl(which i had to lock the player down with collision cubes so she dident push you off the bed or launch you out the map(ahh great times)))

You could easily put Interstellar Nomad on steam in all its potential glory, just need to make sure you follow a consent based story, XStory 2 would not be able to go on steam for instance.
I would hate to see the icing scraped off the great cake for fear that some people might not like it.

There's now plenty of adult games on steam(steam also has a private game mode just for this)

I think XS2 can be added on Steam, because there are games on Steam that make X-S look like light erotica like "Everlasting Summer".
But its just my opinion. Steam may think another way.

Hi! Have a question? Is it correct that this pre-release version is not available for all the owners of XStory 3.5? In client I have "not purchased", but "purchase" button open the same page as for XStory 3.5...

When you purchase an additional version of XStoryPlayer, the alpha-release is currently included.
