I'm not usually one to bitch about this sort of thing, but it has been waaaaaaaay too long since an update.

@xpadmin, where you at, boy? I'm one of your earliest supporters and I am very chagrined to see that there is no new info. It's been over a year since you've even posted in here.

Any information at all would be welcome at this point. Please get in touch with your loyal followers and let us know what's going on.

Well as someone did state before the site is still up and being paid for so something must be going on, it could be to generate sales still but I thought sites were pretty expensive. I just hope v4 comes out soon or at least we can get some sort of response. All wishful thinking though

I think at this point dev admitting that he has abandoned this project won't be a shocker, at least everyone here will stop waiting and get on with their lives.

Hate to say this as I've supported this title, but XPAD is getting left in the dust. So many new titles are out now. And VR technology.

If he is still WORKING on V4 from the past years, its not going to be cutting edge jaw dropping. Too much technology and GPU options have change in computing. Sadly better he work on developing easier to use and more modder tools to keep this 3.5 alive. I mean House Party is now on Steam. Xmoon is old news now and obscure. Very few know about this game other than if they stumble across it on PornHub or similar.

For all intents and purposes, the V4 should just be abandoned now. I paid for it, but its been too long and I fear too outdated to compete with any new titles. I know V4 is suppose to be awesome, great, whatever.....but to have to wait for years AND receive no OFFICIAL word on its progress other than the few modders who regular 'chat' with him, its dead to me.

EDIT: For all those one man team posters, https://www.patreon.com/nenadasanovic/posts has a scrolling game that has hours of content, animations, and some pretty good writing and funny stories included. And he is only one man and produces updates and sure chats a hell of alot more.

The idea behind updating their engine is to update the engine
From a modders perspective there are a bunch of limitations in 3.5 and i know some of these are already resolved in version 4
It's not a small project reworking an entire game engine to use newer tech

I do still talk to XPA every few months and nothing much has changed, they are still working on it
it will be done when its done and if they have something they want to show then they will
I do agree they they should pop their heads into the forum every now and then to say hi but i can't force that

The problem boils down to communication. Fanbase. If you come for support for this game in these official forums, you are helped by other forum members 99.9% of the time.

For all intents and purposes, this forum is left up as a chat channel were members can help each other with game and modding issues.
Its been so long since a hello was posted, it now feels like a reboot of Duke Nukem 3d. Whether he needs to learn or help with economics, game design, his college courses, illness, whatever the reason....not one peep has been seen by open forum members, so you will understand the anticipation\frustration?

And while it is nice that you have good lines of communication with the team, this does nothing for those of us who are stuck loading this topic every other month or so. Just saying....

Honestly, i would be happy even if they keep the old engine and release V4 with the old engine LOL! I dont think we needed a new engine that much. and maybe make it more open world than it already was. like that high school stuff would have been neat! and a bunch of girls, maybe some guys to vary i guess , or to make it easier for users to allow new models purchased from other sources

The old Engine could not handle it, you get problem with like 4npc in same room.
