I've been interested in making some custom models for this game for a while, but last time I checked Blender wasn't supported. I know Maya is free for students or whatever, but I'm not going to bother learning an entirely new workflow for the purposes of possibly making a few mods here.
If Blender isn't supported yet, then my next question would be: is there any good documentation on the engine file format? If there is then I could try to make a custom exporter for it myself (and release it here of course

). I'm no stranger to making custom blender extensions, and as long as it isn't Collada or some other closed proprietary format, it should be pretty straightforward to write an addon.
