 [Saiko Clothes] Footless Knee Socks

Mission complete !

I tried many many many times but it's impossible to have a full sock.
- collision detection is not good enough to work with the thin shape of toes.
- movements make the things go worse.
- collision between the sock and the ground don't help and add more and more problems.

So, I've made a footless knee sock.

the plugin is provided with TWELVE different textures.
A batch file is provided to easyly switch them, just double click and select an option from 1 to 12 (then launch the game).

Known bugs :
- When the knees bend to much (kneel / fuckpole / missionary), the back of sock stick in the knee. You'll have to pull it a little to have it back in right position.
- If the girl "shake" (you run in her / she hit something) the vibration can cause a collision detection failure and the sock goes into the leg (again).
- depending on camera, you can see the "invisible" string that bind socks together. it's because the object must be unique. I couldn't make a mesh with 2 separated parts without filemaker complaining.
(this is not a bug, this is a feature ^^)

First post (for history and comprehension)

As resquested by tomahawk308, and because it's a good idea and "easy" to do, I began this knee sock mod.

it's almost finished, but I have some problems (or it will be too easy !) with the body/cloth collision detection,
and probably with some face culling.

@xpadmin,
could you tell me if there's a way to avoid that ? at least for collision and the socks goind through the feet.
I tried to increase vertex count where there are "bugs", it seem to be better but I'm not sure, and I don't want to have 1k faces just for one foot ^^

Great idea!

I suspect the toes are a bit too small and the cloth vertices get stuck between them.

It is not possible to prevent this without changing the collider mesh. In next version 3.1 we will add the possibility to do this for the girls.

So you have to wait a few more weeks to solve this issue. Sorry for that.

I'll see how the game react with saiko moving, and release a version as is ( if I don't have weird issues. )

Hey, laissemoirire, you've made a really nice stuff! Thank you for your participation :) In my opinion you have a good taste in clothes, so i hope with version 3.1 you'll be able to make a new stuff even more better!

In my case this game inspired me to learn Maya modelling, but it is one thing to model just an object (what i can do now with my tutorials done) and completely other thing to make an object for a game like XSP. So i wanna ask, if you have a time, could you perhaps explain the steps you do to make your clothes be "alive" in the game? Like, how detailed should it be to fit in the game, what is important in modelling exactly for XSP, what kind of import steps are you doing. I know there is tutorial in Wiki, but i would like to see your advices too :)
