Pure speculation follows: I don't know what kind of pricing they have planned, they might not know themselves yet, but this would be my suggestion: (Keep in mind that I'm heavily biased, because I'm not a pledge and I intend to buy these updates as they're released) 2.X > 3.0 upgrade: $15 3.X > 4.0 upgrade: $25 4.X > 5.0 upgrade: $25 5.X > I have no idea, since we don't know the plan from 5.0 to 9.9 This would mean that $20 pledges would get the game $4 cheaper, $40 pledges would be $9 cheaper, and $60 pledges would be $14 cheaper than getting individual upgrades. |

This part is correct. The pricing plan for upgrades will depend on the features in those upgrades, the success of the offbeatr project and of course the sales. I general, if you have bought version x.0 all upgrades to version x.y will be free. How we will exactly price the upgrades is not yet clear, but the prices will be fair. We want a lot of people to play the game (and not for a few to pay a lot). |

Great. I get it. Thanks for the detailed explanation. In future i'll be simply buying new versions or updates. I prefer to 'help' this way rather than pay a lot of money and get life time support. Other words: i'll be pay for what i want to buy, not everything. For me this way is better.

@irrek Pledging is highly appreciated, because it allows us to do a lot more. But buying of course as well. |
