The updates that make the most sense to draw more players would be a scripting and customising tool that allows a player to create custom girls and stories within the current available story arcs. Perhaps the ability to add new locations would be an added advantage. A chargable addon pack for extra poses and items could also be released to help with production costs. Were still in the early stages but with the continued interaction between the developer and player base I expect Xstoryplayer will become a phenomenon

I don't mind this as much as you do, probably because I expect companies to be out to extract the maximum amount of money out of me that they can, and am pleasantly surprised whenever that turns out not to be the case (it should perhaps be said that XStoryPlayer has been one of these pleasant surprises).

That being said, when I said it is a beautiful business model, I meant that in the abstract sense of it being a beautiful solution to the problem of how you extract the maximum amount of money from your product. It does not mean I particularly like being on the receiving end of that business model. It's a bit like you can appreciate the beautiful construction of a weapon without particularly wanting to have it pointed at you.

On the other hand, I like XStoryPlayer and want the company to stay in business, so I do hope that they will make lots of money from it. My main worry there is that they will not be able to release (paid-for) content often enough or profitably enough. This happened with Sexsim - they were (and are) constantly leaving money on the table simply because they are not able to release content often enough, and it also makes it look like the product is stagnating.

A tool to create custom girls is probably going to take quite a bit of effort, but being able to create custom stories could indeed be a good first step towards mods. An ability to provide new story scripts (which use existing locations and girls) and retexture existing girls in the story scripts would already go a long way. Another important feature would be the ability to freely mix and match hairstyles and clothes between girls - currently it seems each girl can only use her own hair and clothes.

I thought for a moment you were suggesting they should adopt said businiss model, which would suck. And yeah, it's indeed the best way to maximize profit.

For most companies of course the only important thing is making money, it's the main purpose for creating a product. That's why I too am pleasently suprised so far with this game and the developers. It seems to me that making money is not their main concern, they actually want to create an ambitious good quality game, and they are willing to listen to the community.

But yeah, they certainly deserve to earn money from this game, and I really don't mind paying for it.

I actually had to bought it a second time when the dark dreams story came out, since the first email with the download link went into the junk-mail map, so it was deleted after a couple of days. But I gladly paid another 7,50 euros.
Let's just hope they don't get corrupted like most developers and turn this into a money-grabbing thing (which I don't see happening).

As also stated in the faq, we want keep the price fair, but also want to keep making new stories and improvements.
We are in it for the long run, so updates may not be frequent, but they will come.

Our goal is to gradually improve the product, and its great that the users on this forum give us insights and feedback of their experiences.
So we can better prioritize the features to work on.

We will probably not react to every suggestion, but be assured that we read them and keep them in mind.

As far as I can see, this topic (although it has a quite non-specific title) got a little carried away, from the proposed story idea of a young guy moving in with a MILF and her daughter to modding tools.

I'll try and move it back a little to story suggestion.

I suggested lactation in the feature-request-category, so here comes my idea where it could be put into action. I post it into this thread because it seems related in theme (younger guy, mature woman), but there are also significant differences.

I made up my mind, and I think it is a better idea that I post my suggestion in a new thread, because when a topic grows, postings on pages in the middle tend to be forgotten. I guess, collecting different story ideas from different people in one thread will end in a turmoil that nobody can understand.

I had a fellow student in a similar situation, and although nothing came out from it for him, I find this situation very inspiring. If I may, I'd like to expand this idea.

I would suppose that mother and daughter are fundamentally different in affection towards the player. It is the mother who rents the room to the player, therefore I would find it only consequential that she takes a first liking in him, in contrast to the daughter who sees him as an intruder of her privacy. This denying attitude is crucial for the way you get it on with the daughter.

At first, I thought that the order in which you seduce the two women would always be the mother first ('cause she already likes you) and the daughter afterwards, which would fit into the established scheme of the "Dark Dream" and "Wet Dream" stories, namely one girl after the other. Then I thought you could diverge from this pattern and make both women already available, so it would be up to the player to decide who he seduces first, or both at the same time. This would also add some replay-value and encourage to try different paths.

I think the outcome of the whole story depends on the personalities of mother and daughter, and how the player can affect them. I'd imagine the mother to be rather relaxed and open-hearted towards the player, in contrast to the daughter who is serious and close-lipped. Talking them into a threesome has to be the ultimate challenge, and it is really hard for me to make up a plausible scenario at the moment.

So, what do you do with the mother?
Since she already has an aptitude for you, you should get to know her, help her in the household and with the house, go out (cinema, theatre, restaurant, museum, park), but beware, don't push to hard and to fast, she has to come to you. (Hm, that might be your first time with her: You go to sleep, she sneaks into your room in the middle of the night, only in her bath robe, and sucks and f*cks you dry.) But, when getting it on with the mother, you have to handle her daughter with care, too, because the unhappy daughter could give both of you hell (and you want to get it on with the daughter, too, don't you? ). So you tell the mother to keep your relationship a secret, which means that you can't do her on the kitchen table or in the living room when her daughter is in the house. She only kisses and teases you when both of you are alone (for example, the daughter is in school or doing her job or sports, or you and the mother are in town, in a hotel or a changing room), and you can only do it silently at night, at least unless you have talked and convinced her daughter that it is okay.

And how do you seduce the daughter?

I would say that from now on you should go out with the daughter, too. Maybe her mother also encourages you to do so (depending on where you stand with each other, she could also forbid it, which makes it even more interesting for the daughter to have secret meetings with you, and afterwards you have to soothe the mother ) as her daughter has asked for allowance, so you go to the mall, cinema, clubbing, beach/pool or to the bar, and she starts to accept you as her friend (and maybe also as her mother's boyfriend). You might also help with her school and housework and visit her at her job (shop assistant or waitress).
As I supposed before, the daughter distrusts men, therefore I'd say that she is sexually inexperienced and you have to handle her with care and approach her really slowly. They can't be just mother and daughter, they have to be friends or like sisters, and this can't be with a big age difference, so I'd say that the mother got her daughter as a teenager, maybe with the age of 16. Since they are so close, it is only understandable that the daughter behaves insanely jealous when the mother starts to adore the player, but she gets more comfortable when she knows the player better and even takes a liking, 'cause she is her mother's daughter.
But who initiates the threesome? Because I imagine the daughter to be more serious, I don't see how to push her directly into that direction. I guess the mother is more open-minded, and you let her carefully know that you love her and her daughter the same. She secretly watches you and her daughter through the half-opened door of your room. A little later you could tell the daughter the same, and then the daughter secretly watches you and her mother. Maybe you can even do each of them in the open after that, no secrets anymore, and one night, mother joins when you do her daughter again.

EDIT: When the daughter mentions that she tried some things with her best friend, this might imply that she (recently) tried them with her mother, since she says that her mother is one of her best friends. This could also be a possible explanation why she massively dislikes the player at first.

2nd EDIT: When you befriended or "befriended" both women, I think it would only be logical that you could go on a date with both of them together, I mean the three of you could go clubbing together, for example, no?
