This is why I'm trying to get maya users such as Wolvalix on board with the modding scene. I like a sweater clothing but it takes more than a fuzzy human to make a furry.

Fur shaders are pretty expensive in terms of render time. How does this affect performance?

Most work is done by GPU, so for decent graphics cards it runs good.
It is a 'fur shader trick' that renders layers of dots over each other, creating the illusion of fur.
All in all it looks pretty convincing.

In a few weeks a version will be uploaded that has fur shader.

So you have to wait a bit for that.
