Considering that Hongfire is where I found out about this game, that would be quite a good idea.

I see that my thread in Hongfire is live and well after being up for almost a year now. :)

Definitely sucks to have a game foundation with so much promise taking so long to come out.
Especially when considering that the game that I am truly looking forward to is even beyond 3.0 (the point when the game really gets the meat and content into it, not just the basic framework with a few scenes).
At this rate, that'll be around 2020 :P

I do check back every 2-4 weeks for any new tidbits, though.

If only I'd know how to properly work with modelling programs, I would offer my help to them.
Isn't there someone out there that can volunteer to help?

I believe once this release is out you will have a vibrant modding scene. This will give a wider exposure to the game and the community can reach critical mas. Probably attracting the right investor at this time is difficult but it will happen .

Agreed. Perhaps developers should consider providing easy way to get exposure to the mods, similar to the ksp spaceport, instead of having one mod there, another here and third somewhere else.

A games mods thread seems like an easy solution but I suggest much like other games a separate site not run by the developers like the Nexus sites. That way any hate or attacks won't kill the game site. Plus X Moon can disavow anything that scares the norms. Also it would mean less upkeep for a small staff. Some of us could be moderators and help run it or keep it organized. I see a lot of mods for this in the future.

That sounds like a good concept.

I think that is a good idea something to consider once the game gets released.
