I d yave to agree with the fact that it wouldnt hurt to have some kind, any kind, of feedback from how it goes. If a date cannot be stated, okay, but maybe share some developping infos, maybe artworks or other stuff. It s always nice and it gives a feeling of progression and dynamic.

This is the most demeaning comment I have seen so far:

"It will be ready when it will be ready" is just as much as saying "I may do something but I probably won't."

This puts the development team in the category of those projects on Steam that start, but never finish. I have not seen that from this team. That is the main comment I was responding to. It was rude and ignorant. The team also put out a Christmas special. So it has been max 4 months since then. The developers are also very active in the forums and have been responding to what is coming next. So this further shows they are continuing along. This "please tell us a date crap" is really annoying IMO.

I am far from categorizing the development team, I am giving my personal opinions, and what I would like to see from the project, in all honesty, I have paid for the game and I appreciate all the hard work. Although I'd still like to be updated where the project is. I though I was clear enough giving cirticism, but it would appear I was being ignorant. Fair play.

I may be wrong by assuming most of us that have played this game play other games as well and consider ourselves "gamers". We are no stranger to long awaited releases and delays on games that we are just dying to play. I don't think that the people that are eager to hear from the devs should be looked at negatively. If anything, it should just reassure the devs that they made an amazing game and have people that can't wait to hear more about the future. I understand that we don't need a firm date on the next release, but I would agree with the rest of the group in saying that it would be nice to have some sort of update. Something as simple as a dev letting us know that things are going as planned, or an exciting update on the new engine would go very far with the people that have bought the game and are waiting for more. I honestly cannot believe a small company like this was able to develop something so impressive. This company got my attention as a consumer and I will follow anything they put out going forward. Keep up the good work XMoon!

when a project like this dies, especially the ones where you pay for an unfinished product and pay again for each update, the devs NEVER say anything, they always fuck off without a word, leaving the players/customers hanging

since that has happened so many times with the "small team ambitious" setup, not only is it understandable, it's actually realistic to start becoming skeptical after many months, especially if there literally is nothing else to go on appart from "we working on the engine" comment a few months ago..

As said before the next update will be a completely new engine. This takes time to build.
The project would be dead if we were not working on it, this is not the case.

I understand that everyone wants frequent updates, and that will be possible with the new engine.
But for now there is not much to say except to be patient.

It would help to hear how is the current progress?
What was done in the last weeks/month.
With parts of the Engine is in Progress or already finished?

Even this little Details helps the projects to show the people, you working on it.
You dont need to make weekly reports but 1-2 News/Status Updates per Month would help a lot to show progress.
Later if the Engine is far enough, you could show pics/vids of the current possibilties, even if this only engine features not related to the final game :)
Just a tip for better Communication with the people that watching the project, but didnt see any news.
It would help a lot :)

I would only ask the development team to let us know what are we expecting. I honestly can't see how much better could this game be, except with all stories, perhaps better graphics... Oh man, pls just end my suffering.
