Hey there party people! 0.7.7 is now public! This update is bringing a ton of new features, new quests, and the ability to get drunk! You will notice a ton of aesthetic updates as well including the house layout, lighting improvements, and a neighborhood background. 0.7.7 also brings an update to the story creator that supports non-western characters, and a translation template that allows for easy translation of House Party into any language. We used this template to bring you an official Chinese translation of the game that is also available now.

Hm, first thing I realized, the save games are gone. Is this intended or maybe a bug...

And the dialog with Rachael seems broken, can't talk to here anymore after 2 or 3 responses.

My first question to, they dont let use use old saves so they dont get problems there.

Yes, saved games are stored only with the version in which they are saved. For example, a save from 0.7.3 will be inaccessible while playing 0.7.7.

As for the Rachel quest, you may be missing a step in her quest that allows for new dialogue choices.

I believe this is similar to the other question, but yes saved games are not accessible across different versions of the game.

Hey guys,
So here's the deal with 0.8.1. We ran into a lot of technical issues this build. We are doing a lot of work with the lighting, and we ran into a snag that ended up taking up a good chunk of time, which is also why the build got delayed. On the positive side of this, the lights in this build look really stunning. On the negative side, we weren't able to finish Amy's story.

We did add another scavenger list item to Amy's quest, but we are writing a split ending, and we didn't want to half-ass it. We are going to call it for this sprint and start working on the beta in which we will clean everything up and polish it, and then we will start a new Alpha sprint to finish up with Amy's story, much like we did with Vicky.

That being said, you may not have discovered all of the content Amy has to offer. Did you know there are two different ways to complete two different scavenger hunt items?

Date Night With Brittney gets a major overhaul this release as well, and we have reworked a lot of the dialogues so that when the voice actors get ahold of the lines, they feel like the Original Story characters. We also fixed up a bunch of issues with the DNWB story, and you shouldn't run into anymore dead ends.

Next release will be a Beta release, and is scheduled for 12/14/17. It will include bug fixes, polish, new animations, new models, and voice acting.

Here's House Party 0.8.2 Beta with a long list of updates! Major updates to the look and feel of the game, and a lot of polish coming your way in this build!

We regret to inform that we are not going to be releasing Date Night With Brittney with this build, so it will be unavailable this time around in Beta. We are re-working and revamping the story, getting translations done, and commissioning voice acting still, and it's just really in no shape yet to open it up for Beta testing, so Date Night will stay in Alpha for now with plans to include it in next month's Beta and Public releases.

That being said, for those of you Beta testers just getting your hands on the 0.8.x series, there are a lot of new Amy updates, and maybe Brittney will get involved in some of the hi-jinks! Everything is now voice acted, and we fixed a LOT of bugs and added a lot of polish. Next week will be public release, and early next month we are looking to have the new Alpha version of Date Night With Brittney, as well as the continuation of Amy's story!
