Well, I'm an idiot. I posted this in the wrong thread. I just saw the Oculus Rift CV1 thread and found some more info in there. Apparently, Oculus Touch works now if you install the Vive patch as well as running it from SteamVR. I'll have to try this later, but it would also be nice to get some official info posted as a sticky somewhere, since the info is pretty difficult to find.

I've got the latest version installed, as of yesterday, and the Oculus CV1 patch. When I'm in-game, the Oculus Rift headset works just fine. It tracks me as I stand up and bend down. The problem is that it doesn't detect my Oculus Touch controllers in the game. None of the buttons do anything and I can't see my virtual hands in the game. When I get close to Oculus's configured "virtual guardian wall", the guardian wall grid disappears where my hands would be in-game. I don't have any idea what to do to get the Touch controllers working in-game. Any ideas? I'm really excited to be able to try this out.

The XStoryPlayer CV1 supports Oculus natively but not the controllers.
Using Steam VR the controllers are supported.

So please use Steam VR for Oculus Touch controller support.
Also use the HTC Vive patch in this case.

I updated the Oculus CV1 thread to reflect this info as you suggested.

I have some more feedback for you. I read through most of this thread to see if things were stated or not, so hopefully I'm not repeating anything.

I played through the Tentacle story for most of my VR experience today.

1) I had to get used to the walking style. I don't think I'm the type to get motion sick, but I found a "surfer stance" helped me deal with it better. The part where I really had issue was if I was next to something and I leaned towards it to pick up something I dropped, it would slide my character over as they clipped into it. This is VERY disorienting. It's not hard to try it for yourself. Walk up next to a wall or solid object, and just lean towards it. Fixing this may also help some of the sliding issues involved with using hip mode.

2) Hip mode is awesome, when it works properly. My biggest issue was the height adjustment function. I tried to turn off auto height adjustment, but it seemed to continue working for me. Maybe my setting didn't save properly, but I can re-verify later. Sometimes I would switch to hip mode for a scene, but I would be crouching. The it then auto height adjust and send me into the air. Other times, I would go into hip mode while standing, and then get down on my knees. After a moment or two, it would then send me back up into the air. I would suggest the game take a height reading at the beginning of the game and it holding that throughout the experience. That way, if I feel like sitting down for a bit, I can stay there between scenes. You could add an option under the VR settings to take a new height reading in case someone was sitting or doing something besides standing straight and facing ahead at the time of the menu opening.
*** I Just replayed the game and found that my settings had not saved correctly. The auto height mode is now disabled correctly. However, I would still suggest creating a more static system.

3) When interacting with cloth, I can only grab it with one hand. I don't know if this is a limitation of the engine, but it would be nice to hold these things at two different points.

4) I absolutely agree with someone earlier stating that we should be able to actually push, poke, and grab things with touch controls; rather than using hand lasers. It would be much more immersive and intuitive. I kept finding myself wanting to smack buttons with my hand. Have you tried Job Simulator? They have a pretty good system for hands.

5) I would also like to add that when your hands flex, the mesh does some weird things.

6) I'm unsure of the exact placement of the headset in relation to the character, but sometimes turning around feels a little odd. It's hard to put my finger on it, but it almost feels like the headset is translating away from my actual head.

7) Unrelated to VR, but often times fluids don't render.

8) I'm not sure how much it is used, but we don't have a way to jump from the VR controls!

9) I know force has been increased for the VR hands, but sometimes it seems a little odd to have to pull my arm all the way to my body to move something a short distance. Granted, I could just be trying to break anchor points on some ragdoll animations.

I ended up playing this for hours. It's MUCH better in VR! I'm looking forward to the other stories being brought up to 3.5 so I can try them in VR.

This is a fantastic game - easily the best porn game out there for VR. If I may offer a couple of suggestions for consideration in the next one? Some, if not all, you may already have thought of.
1. Voices - it would be nice if the girls had actual voices. If you do have to stick with text, it would be more readable against the light backgrounds in the game if the text was darker.
2. Mirror - Adding the ability to place and orient a mirror in the fastsex game would be fantastic.
3. Help Menu - obviously, for those of us using VR equipment (I have the HTC Vive), having the help menu bring up commands for the VR equipment we have instead of a keyboard would be very, well.... helpful.
4. Resizing - the ability to resize models to reflect personal tastes would be great. Monica is beautiful - but man is she tall! Worth the climb, but...

I realize you must get a lot of requests for specific features and must decide among them which will give the games you produce the greatest appeal. I hope my suggestions are helpful to you in this regard. Thanks again for a truly fantastic game. By the way, the chains machine was a stroke of genius. The physics when using that are amazing!

I got it working but there are a few mods that don't work

Loveparty - spaceship doesn't load, all the other environments seem to work
Creepy Dungeon- doesn't load
Eskarn's Night Out - doesn't load

Is there any way to turn the patch off so I can play non VR?

Yes this is possible. In the VR settings: disable VR.

Just curious, is development of this feature still going on? I mean, it's pretty good already but there's still room for improvements like the use of the hands instead of the lasers, more robust grab detection, stuff like that. It still feels a bit clumsy.

first off i would like to thank you guys for spending time on the VR side, it is truely a great experience to load into a erotic sandbox with such nice physics.

i would like to share my ideas to improve the experience and usability

i will agree on many comments in this thread that the ghost hands need the most improvment.
for me i would like to see many options added to improve the wirelesss controlers in general
for the hands i think they should have bone structure and respond to physics and objects, they should be rigid like the girls bone structure and the stationary point should be the lower palm.
this will allow the girls to suck on your fingers and let you brush them across their skin, they should also respond to the touch
they could have a few modes for different functionality, such as a grabbing mode where the thumb and index finger close allowing to pinch things or create a clasp around things, a simple index finger only mode for touching and inserting, it could also be used for gestures and ordering models around or grabbing things and a open hand mode for spanking .
i would also like to see the the vive tracker used as a wrist mount device when it releases

easier to customize controls for the vr controller ingame would be very welcome for all these things as well.
adjusting the height in the menu is painful and getting the correct potition and settings is not easy having to leave environment to adjust, would rather have it in a ingame menu, something like a watch menu would be cool like in other titles.

the ability to sit in a chair and recline is needed, if the girls could give a nice lap dance and sit on your lap in vr that would be quite something
we just need more angles and positions the ladies can accommodate more degrees of control over their poses and a way to teach them the positions and heights at which to hold themselves so we may ask for them again through text chat

all in all needs more sandbox and more things, more places, lights and atmospheres and more polish to the experience, its has so much potential
and some really amazing tech, and it deserves to be expanded and fulfilled to that.
