I do not support anything on Patreon but that VR game looks amazing, I was only able to try the benchmarks on the demo and it looked amazing, shame its only VR.

I have waited for long periods of my life for games to finish. I'm old enough to remember the hype over Duke Nukem only to have it released years later. That title was a pretty good game for ITS TIME, but all the stalling, different publishers and developers basically killed that game as by the time it was released, it was an 'old' game per say. Bonetown and Bonecraft was another. Ok games, but way behind on the times. Sure fun to play, but worth $50?

I've kept in the shadows for way too long, most Early Access games I own, I have been burnt on Steam, I don't support Patreon for this reason. While I do support Indie game developers and would like to see more non-live porn type games ( I live in the super moral, uber conservative USA where tits are a sin. ), my biggest fear for Xmoon is this....

By the time the new version of this game, which was cutting edge when first released, does finally get released, it won't stand alone anymore. It won't be the only fluid motion Ai game on the market. There are quite a few in the works right now. Whether Xmoon kicked off the Indie game movement of this type or not, I fear Xmoon will be either graphically, physics, technology, or render challenged behind the times.

While HTC and VR and such is nice, I feel these should have been worked on in the future along with Occulus. Don't wait a few more years till there is competition in the market for this game. (Right now one comes close, but is a long way off also.) I do realize the Vive and Rift and such are a HUGE selling point with these games, but you have got to have a stable source and engine FIRST. I fear XM is at the point right now where everything is integrated into the engine and if tomorrow someone creates a new Jerk Off 4000 USB device, it will have to be rewritten for the latest and greatest VR toy on the market.

This forum and website is where the majority of your title's users browsed, chatted, bought, got support, and a few mods for this game. Sadly, from a few months after 3.0, the support was from OTHER forum posters. --->This forum is the game's lifeline.
People remember what goes on here for a long time. Word of mouth and other forums is where this game will get its free advertising. Or pay IGN or someone to write a positive review ALA UBISOFT.
A timeline or roadmap or some other words other than its not dead or at least a progress update is needed as currently, you are going to have a hard time selling any copies as people do check support forums for activity. From a strictly business standpoint, you need to weigh the option of releasing the new version as soon as its bug free then implement small updates, or wait till the new engine is done and the game is finished as you envisioned. If you wait too much longer, your huge corner of the market will be gone. You will always have competition from free game developers like Illusion, and payware games on torrent sites.

All I'm saying is that the newness candle went out long ago on this game, and although it has ALOT to offer that no other game comes close right now, it won't remain like that in the future. So give us a bone every now and then!

I for one personally don't care waiting however long. I can come back here and check every few months and act like its Xmas if there happens to be 4.0 for download.

But if you then look at other game like Diablo 3 that took what 8years longer then excpected to come out and it still slod extremle well even if it was 5year behind all other games. Even do i agree with most would be nice with a update 1 a month or so, dont have to be Pictures and so simple info.

Good points Skidrow, but D3 is a B--izzard game. Sure development on it took several years but Diablo has been around for over 20 years. Back when there was only Doom and Quake. A household name with the nerd crowd from the 80s and 90s ;) The sheer $$ that BLizz can throw at a game is staggering. From WOW subscriptions fees alone, they can operate dozens of global servers. There is a dedicated team in each field working on a specific aspect of the game. Never ending R&D, and etc...They make millions gross profit. D3 can be bought with in game currency, account bound $, and several other options. D3 runs a constant PTR testing with hundreds of players poking around for new bugs. Patches are updated on a regular basis. The support team for Blizzard is mind blowing. From website IT all the way to texture render artist and voice actors. Blizz can only be compared with Valve in sheer gaming numbers.

Other developers and publishers cannot match the collective pool at their disposal. Xmoon Produxtions has none of that. Really no offsite for advertising also. Here and Hongfire and few other sites maybe. Unity sex games are still popping up regularly. Look at the number of starter Patreon companies. One kid in a garage can use RPG maker and make a dinky text scroller with fappable images for cutscenes and get a few thousand off of it. And he NEVER has to finish it! Its already funded and how exactly can you get refunds for pledging a Patreon title? Its not like Steam. A Unity license isn't that bad. Unity is a descent engine but it does lack physics in some areas. Competition is growing especially in the VR department. We might soon have a Jack O Matic 4000 :D

Xmoon currently does not have and probably will never have any fan base, development team, constant influx of $, etc.... like a AAA developer. Lets be honest, Xmoon is an obscure title for an obscure genre. Markets for games like this are super small, but in great demand.

And lets not forget how to buy. This is not a title you can just run down to old school Babbage's or Gamestop and preorder. Or find on Amazon or Ebay. Although its close to the top searches in Bing and Google for 'sex game' and such, its basically an unknown game. I don't want to get off topic of the new release thread, but if today, I was searching for the next new 3D, CGI looking simulation or game, and I came here. And I saw that progress may or may not be dead, and not many recent post in YEARS from the developer on the ONLY support forum for the PURCHASE of said game, I would move on. Probably put this site in my favorites list somewhere and check back one day I'm not doing nothing.

Sure it has cutting edge so to speak things, but there is a short story, a descent sandbox type mode, pretty cool customization of characters and models to a point, SOME modability in the game with a few awesome mods released, but aside from basically a select VERY FEW individuals on these boards, the game is and has been stagnant for quite some time.

Peeps are tight with their cash unless its their parents money which is gonna be a hard sell for 15 year old to get mom and dad to finance this game.

Also it was funded on Patreon remember? Im sure there is a in my spare time, this is a hobby of mine cause I have to work a job somewhere attitude now. Im guessing its still less than 6 people coding on this game, which is fine, but the longer it drags on WITHOUT an OFFICIAL response, interest in this game is just that, a passing interest.

Also kudos and hats off to everyone that has modded, talked with the developer and relayed info, the how to's and tutorials, and game support help in the past. You have really kept this game in the spotlight and up and running for others to discover and enjoy.
And Xpad, nothing wrong is laid in your direction. 3.5 is done, finished. Works as intended. But as stated before above, I feel you are losing time by staying in the dark and not even promoting a forum moderator to delegate the task of relaying messages to YOUR fanbase.

As stated again, this IS THE SITE where you purchase, get support, look about info for the game, and have a general discussion.

So is this game confirmed dead or not? If the developer needed help and asked for it they would probably get it. There is super potential to make a game that would sell hundreds of thousands.

The game is not dead. We do/did have some serious delays due to all kind of design issues and technical problems.

I do not want to get into the details, but the scope of the new game we wanted to develop proved somewhat too big for our small team.

We are currently salvaging the parts of the engine that worked well and scaling down the scope of the game in order to make things more feasible.

Best regards xpadmin
