I'm just going to post share some notes I've taken across the board on the matter to help get the ball rolling. Finding SFM resources SFMlab, a hosting site for erotic SFM models. DigitalEro, a forum for developing and showcasing erotic SFM models. Converting SFM to Maya vaako-7 wrote: Use crowbar to decompile a Source model, and you get .SMD reference files which can be imported with a third party plug-in to Maya. Alternatively, you could use an inbetween program like MS3D to convert SMD's to FBX files and then just import them to Maya. Taken from a PM from XPadmin who wrote: It would involve importing the SFM into Maya first. There are some tutorials on e.g. youtube that show how to do this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vsnPQYZOKzg (I am not sure if this is a good tutorial) After that you can proceed the same way as the other XSP models. ... Um, yeah, I don't actually... know anything about the process of making a model compatible with XStoryPlayer... Because I don't anything at all about 3D modeling. All I know for sure is that there are steps between Maya and XSP. When we actually get a foreign model into XSP, I'll update this post, with links. |
